This multi-use site contains the Donald A Wilson Secondary School , multiple outdoor sports fields and two soccer domes.  The soccer domes are home to Whitby FC, a dual holder of high-performance leagues; OPDL and League 1.  The smaller dome which accommodates 9 versus 9 games has existing change and washroom facilities connected to it.  The larger domes which accommodate 11 versus 11 games had since its construction in 2017 no dedicated washroom facilities.  We were commissioned to complete the design for a standalone building adjacent to this larger dome which contained male and female washrooms, a universal washroom, a custodial room, and a mechanical room.  The design objective was to provide a building that was secure, well-lit during all hours of the day, made of durable materials, with a simple and intuitive layout to service the dome and its patrons.
